Kentucky has adopted statewide, mandatory Modular Homes Building Codes. Local jurisdictions may not amend the state code.

The new 2007 Kentucky Building Code (KBC), ninth edition went into effect July 6, 2007. The ninth edition of the KBC will be the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and the specific Kentucky amendments (2007 KBC) to the 2006 IBC.
