Heckaman Homes was established in 1969, long before many of its competitors in the Midwest. They have built more than 15,000 homes to date. The company offers two product lines and more than 50 floor plans. Their Custom series offers a large variety of optional features, color selections and modifications. The Freedom series, offers less options and features, but it gives homeowners a home of equally high quality, and is more affordable. The current management, Craftech Building Systems, Inc., acquired ownership of Heckaman in 1986. Heckaman Homes currently employs approximately 120 people and their facilities comprise 90,000 square feet on 20 acres and they produce 450 homes per year. Full-time crews are employed by Heckaman Homes to provide service to homeowners in accordance with their warranty.
